Spanner in the works...

So not much has been seen around these parts for a while.

That would be due to so serious headaches in the building proccess.

The smallest of which was the spokes for the front wheels, which alas had to be custom made for the wheels because no-one makes spokes that short!!!

So I was waiting on the built wheels to start on the steering hubs, which took shape this last week but work has now stepped in the way and I'm away from the machine shop for a few days and Easter is coming and suppliers will be closed.

Top it off with this, I'll be on a work trip overseas on the weekend the race is on. Worst timing EVER!!!

But, I have a good friend who is willing to be my fill-in pilot, so please, head along and cheer my buddy, and SOUL-CRUSHER to victory!!!

Another long sunday in the garage has got the body work very close to completion. 1/4 Louvre panels are in and the windscreen is very nearly done! Just a few joining ribs to fold up and then it'll be time to take it all apart again for powder-coating, joy.

Now, just a few more little parts to go. Stickers are being printed this week, front rims are at the powder-coaters, and it's time to put in the hard work on the steering.

Soon the body will grow sides, a hole for my head to stick through, and a wind shield. So far 303 rivets, all by hand.
